Paul Lorber is the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Brent North

Paul Lorber is the Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Brent North.

Paul has lived in Brent (first in Willesden and now in Wembley) for 50 years. He has always been involved in local community affairs having served as Councillor in Brent for 32 years. He was Leader off Brent Council between 2006 and 2010. Paul also has 25 years of continuing service as a School Governor at Barham Primary School.

Paul came to the UK as a refugee after the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. He gained his A-levels at Kilburn Comprehensive School and a degree from Manchester University. He qualified and worked as an accountant and tax adviser for many years. Following the closure of 6 libraries in Brent by the Labour Party in 2011 Paul now helps to run Barham Community Library as a full-time volunteer.

As a European Paul opposes Brexit and regards it as very damaging to the future of the UK - both culturally and economically.
